Fad diets are gaining popularity amongst youth and middle aged people. The main reason behind their increasing demand is the ease, simplicity and comfort to follow them in daily routine. Most of the fad diets experts grab attention of the overweight people by claiming that such diets will help them visible results in short period.
Most of the people, who had already tried gyms, weight loss supplements, crash diets, etc, become disheartened as they either don’t get results or if they get results, it is short term. In such circumstances, fad diet makers ensure and make promises to help them without any effort. Although this seem a big ray of hope for such people, but honestly Fad diet plans had not much support from doctors and fitness experts.
In fact, medical community on a whole had discourages the users to solely depend on fad diets, as they say that such monotonous diets can detriment the user’s health and can cause discomfort and long term troubles. Studies have also supported this claim that the sustained weight loss can never be achieved with Cabbage Soup Diets or Lemonade Diet. Now the big question arises, should anyone follow Fad Diets?
